High College Fees Affect The Middle Class
As the college costs soar, the middle class gets additional burden. College costs increase rapidly than the incomes do making the middle class families to hold back. Tuition fees from public universities have surged 130% in the last 20 years. During 1988, the average tuition fees for a four-year public university are nearly $2,800 which is already adjusted for inflation. By 2008, it soared to almost 130% to roughly $6,500 per year excluding the costs of books and room and board. If only the income of every middle class had kept up with the increasing college costs, these people would have sent most of their children to college.
