Consumers Worry As Cheap Energy Deals End
More consumers are now facing high energy bills again as the previously offered fixed priced plans cease on May 1, 2011. It was declared that seven low-cost energy plans which had been offering low prices since 2009 will be ending their special offers this coming two months. Three out of the seven have cost less than £900 a year. Previous customers who will be paying the standard rates are expected to pay £1,039 a year on average. This is 24% more than the previous payments. Due to these changes, consumers will see their energy bills increase by £227 as the fixed priced deals ends.
